No Fail Pie Crust

SERVINGS

Original recipe yield 3 single crusts

INGREDIENTS

· 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

· 1 cup shortening (cold)

· 1/4 teaspoon salt

· 1 egg

· 1/4 cup cold water

· 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar

DIRECTIONS

1. In a food processor, combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening, blend until it resembles coarse crumbs.

2. Mix egg and vinegar together. Pour into flour all at once and blend. Add water a little at a time until dough forms a ball.

3. Wrap with plastic and chill in refrigerator.

COMMENTS

1. It works like a dream.
